Pitot tube air flow meters are based on the traditional Prandtl tube, which includes a Pitot tube for total pressure measurement and a sensor for static pressure measurement. Anemometers, which are closely linked to manometers, were invented to measure air flow. Pitot tube air flow meters have an advantage over other techniques of measurement in that they have a relatively tiny aperture above the tube barrier at the most critical distance, allowing for fast readings of air flow. They’re also effective in high-temperature and high-wind conditions.

Pitot Tube For Air Flow Measurement

To obtain the velocity pressure from which air velocity may be calculated, a Pitot tube detects total pressure and static pressure. The tip of the Pitot Tube Air Flow Meter is directed toward the airflow as it is put into the duct.

PTF520 implement a cellphone setting system. Users can install COMATE APP on their cellphone or tablet and use the APP to connect with a PTF520 flow meter to read or set the flow meter.

This APP also support a remote diagnose function. Whenever there is anything wrong with the flow meter, customer can ask for a remote diagnose support. When this function is working, COMATE engineer back in office can remotely check the setting of the meter, and the signal of sensor, to provide users with most accurate trouble shooting advise.
